Joseph Lagunzad Boustani is a 21-year old print, catalogue and commercial model originally from Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He was born to a Lebanese father and a Filipina mother and was raised in the US. He attended schools in Ohio, Florida and Nevada. While in school, he immersed himself in workshops for dance, radio hosting, theater and acting.

He was a student of Nursing at Lorain County Community College before he decided to go back to the Philippines to give modeling and showbiz a try. His first modeling exposure was in Cosmopolitan Magazine’s April 2010 issue where he was featured as one of the Steamy Studs of Summer along with Andrew Mackintosh, Michael Acuña, Kenjie Zabala, Adam Ibrahim, Alvin Jolas Dais, Leo Miranda, Elvin Gutierrez, Bryann Foronda, Jome Silayan, and Kazuo Nawa.

Following his exposure at Cosmopolitan magazine, several projects came his way. He joined other male models in Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Fun Fearless Eyeball; modeled barong creations by Michel André in Landmark Trinoma’s Santacruzan; and appeared in an event in Trinoma sponsored by Nike in celebration of the 2010 World Cup. Joey likewise appeared in a Chowking commercial, in Natasha’s Hiphop dancer DVD and in TV5′s late night show, Jojo A. All The Way. However, to date, the highlight of his career is his guesting in GMA7′s Take Me Out where he was chosen by that episode’s female searcher, Tanya Reidenbach, who is now Joey’s current flame.

Joey intends to get into showbiz. Thus, he is exerting a lot of effort in learning Tagalog and getting the necessary exposure to reach his goal. Joey, you’re on the right track.

On July 2, 2010, Bench Clothing and Lifestyle Co. will be bringing back the most awaited biennial fashion extravaganza in the Philippines – the Bench Denim and Underwear Show. This year, it is dubbed as “Uncut: A Bold Look At The Future”. As the tagline suggests, the show will have a futuristic concept but it promises to have the same raw sexiness that Bench fashion shows have been known for. The collections to be featured in the show is the result of the collaborative efforts between Bench, on the one end, and new Filipino designers who made it to the international fashion scene, on the other. “Uncut” will feature the latest designs of the clothing brand’s jeans and underwear lines. The Philippines’ hottest actors, celebrities and models will walk the Araneta Coliseum ramp donned in the Bench attire which will flaunt their best assets. Bobby Simpson is a 25-year old Filipino-American athlete born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was born to an American Father and Filipina mother from Batangas. He spent most of his time growing up playing sports, mainly basketball.

After high school Bobby moved to Florida to further his studies and continue his basketball career. He graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance. After graduation, in 2009, he was recruited to play basketball here in the Philippines. He has lived in the Philippines from that time on.

Bobby is currently focusing on his basketball career here in the Philippines. He played for Cossack Blue in the recently concluded first conference of Philippine Basketball League (PBL). However, Bobby wants to try out other opportunities such as modeling. He has had minimal modeling experience, although many agents have already approached him wanting him to try getting into modeling. At present, he is training and staying in shape for basketball, as well as looking for future modeling opportunities.

Brapanese (Brazilian-Japanese) model Daniel Kenji Matsunaga has only been in the Philippines for a little less than a year, nevertheless, he has already enjoyed a fruitful career in the country. He has appeared in many television and print advertisements and has graced the covers of several Philippine magazines. He has also been given the chance to act in “The Last Prince”, a GMA7-produced soap opera, and in an independent film entitled “D’ Survivors“.

Despite all his career triumphs, I have received unconfirmed reports that Daniel is no longer coming back to Manila. Daniel, who even contemplated on becoming a Filipino citizen due to his successful career in the Philippines, is apparently very much saddened and embarassed by the surfacing in the internet of a picture of him in his birthday suit and wearing just a few accessories. The picture, which featured Daniel in a pose showing his bare behind and another covering his privates with his hand, was taken in 2006 by popular Singaporean photographer Leslie Kee to be a part of his book, “Superstars”. Leslie’s book showed several popular Asian and foreign models and celebrities au naturelle. The proceeds from the sale of “Superstars” (which was priced at US$300) was intended to be distributed to the victims of the tsunami which affected some parts of Asia in December 2004. The same book also featured former Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate Rocky Salumbides.

Daniel, who is currently in Brazil, is reportedly flying to Hong Kong instead of the Philippines to continue his modeling career there after his two-week vacation in his home country. I wonder what the GMA7 management is going to say about this especially when he is slated to appear opposite Heart Evangelista in “Langit Sa Piling Mo”, an upcoming primetime soap in the Kapuso network.
