Age: 20 If there’s one thing Ken Escudero never expected in his showbiz career it was his international exposure recently when he represented the Philippines in the 2006 Mr. International held in Singapore. He was among the 11 finalists and he bagged the Mr. Photogenic award! For the aspiring actor, his stint in Singapore was truly a memorable experience. He recalled that when he dreamed of joining showbusiness he never imagined himself traveling abroad. It was a feat he found far rewarding and exciting than the TV contests he joined in the past. SIKIL Special Screening
starring: KEN ESCUDERO
Everybody is invited to watch the Special Screening of indie-gay-film SIKIL at the U.P. Film Center on November 22, 2007 (Thursday). Screening time: 5:00 PM & 7:00 PM.
Ticket price is 100 pesos.
SIKIL is the bittersweet story of childhood friends Adong & Enzo whose friendship will be tested by love and lust. Adong & Enzo’s journey will take us from picturesque Lucban to the slums in Quiapo and the old cinema house in Avenida; from live sex shows in a Malate bath house to the video sex scandal of pirated DVDs.
Sikil was screened last October 16-24 at the XXVIII Mostra Valencia/Cinema del Mediterrani Film Festival in Spain.
Sikil is also the Official Selection at the very First Cancun International Film Festival in Mexico which will be held on November 14-19, 2007.
Sikil has been invited at the 19th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival in California on January 3-14, 2008.

in response to the previous post if Ken is friendly with gays, i think that he, alvin a.k.a Ken Escudero, is friendly with them.
he was my high schoolmate and although we were not that close, i noticed that he’s a bit shy. but considering his line of work, he has to be friendly because looks and talent are not the only thing that can bring him to the top, but the support of his fans to.

wow! i just finished watching sikil and he inspired me in this movie…. i was crying for every sacrificed he made and he stood by eevry decisiom he made…. i was at the very same situation he was in during the time and taht is the reason why i want to meet him…. is there any way for me to meet him like just wanna thank him personally and congratulate him for representing the role of lawrence as realistic as it sound be.. am still in tears~!
