Ang Gusto Ko Sa Lalaki is a sexy comedy produced by Starlight Films in the early part of the year 2000. It got its title from one of the lines in Mystica’s first single, “Simple Lang”. It featured the male boldie newcomers Marco Alejandro, Martin Gonzalo and Joshua Diaz. It also had in its supporting cast Mystica, Via Veloso, Stella L, Pamela Ortiz and Allen Dizon. A clip from the movie may be viewed below. Joshua Diaz was introduced to Philippine showbiz through German Moreno’s star discovery show, “D.A.T.S.” which replaced “That’s Entertainment”. In the show, he was paired up with the still wholesome Aubrey Miles and was made to sing, dance and act together with his other co-starlets. Due to the star potential which his manager saw in him, he was immediately cast in another teen-oriented show in GMA7 entitled “Click”. But shortly thereafter, he was removed from the show because of his entry into the bold bandwagon – through Ang Gusto Ko Sa Lalaki. This was his first and last movie. I saw him three years ago enrolling himself to a gym membership in Fitness First – Makati, and buy propecia generic he is still as cute as ever. Marco Alejandro appeared in another movie entitled “Radyo” in 2001 with a new screen name, Mac Alejandro. I wonder where this guy is. Martin Gonzalo was a model before he was lured into the showbiz arena. His manly features and tall frame could have made him an easy choice for a leading man, but he chose to get into the sexy genre in the hopes of quick stardom. He also appeared in other movies such as “Sugat, walang paghilom” and “Live Show”. At the peak of his career, he modelled for “Rice”, a coffee table book which was published by Raymond Lontoc, where he went full monty. I usually see him in Glorietta with his not-so-visually-appealing wife. |
