Christian Vazquez was one of the prominent hunks to emerge in the early 2002. He surged to popularity through his PLDT commercial where he plays a son to a father who lives in Iloilo where the latter forced his son who studies in Manila to take up medicine instead of fine arts. Against his father’s will, he took up fine arts instead and finally his father accepted his son’s decision. The line of the commercial which is mixed of Ilonggo and Tagalog “Kung saan ka masaya eh suportahan ta ka”.

Since then a slew of offers came his way: Cosmopoitan Magazine’s Bachelor Bash, Baleno Underwear and Metro Magazine’s Body Calendar. He was, at that time, being groomed as a leading man.

After declaring to the world that he is already a father to two boys, the offers started to dwindle. To remain in showbusiness, he was sort of forced to join the bold bandwagon via the movie Liberated 2 (screencaps below). Still failing to get enough media attention, he joined the cast of the second run of an all-male musical and the group which was formed in the musical, the Barako Boys.

This Ilonggo hottie joined the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition, in his apparent attempt to regain his popularity (together with model turned actor Zanjoe Marudo). His career turned dormant after the show.
