Jestoni Alarcon: Provocative Politician No. 2
|
As requested by capriciou$, here is Jestoni: Jestoni Alarcon, Anthony Jesus Alarcon in real life, started out in showbiz via Kuya Germ’s show “That’s Entertainment”. This former teen heartthrob was then signed in by Seiko Films and was launched in the horror flick “Huwag Mong Buhayin Ang Bangkay”. He, then, appeared in movies such as “Campus Beat” (with Maricel Soriano), “Ang Mahiwagang Singsing” (with Lotlot de Leon) and “Dino Dinero” with Dolphy. After a string of box office successes, he grabbed the opportunity to do more mature roles. He became an action star and eventually he, too, jumped into the bold bandwagon. A few years after getting married, Jestoni shifted careers and ventured into politics (like fellow That’s Entertainment alumni, Isko Moreno). His initial salvo into the political arena was In 2001 when he ran and was voted as councilor in Antipolo. Three years thereafter, he ran for the vice-gubernatorial race in the Rizal Province, and got the highest number of votes for the post. At present, Jestoni is the vice governor of Rizal Province and has recently filed his certificate of candidacy for congressman of the 2nd District of Rizal. Jestoni, now leaner and even sexier than when he was first introduced in showbiz, has been relatively busy with teleserye projects for both ABS-CBN and GMA. Some of his notable teleseryes were “Pangako Sa ‘Yo”, “Bituin”, “Sugo” and “Crazy For You.”
