Coco Martin: Cherub-Faced Charmer

Coco Martin (Rodel Nacianceno in real life) started out in showbiz as one of the members of Star Circle Batch 9. Although managed by ABS-CBN’s talent management agency, Star Magic, his career didn’t really take off. This was due to the fact that he chose to finish his degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management over showbiz.

While finishing his degree, he did a string of tv commercials and was featured in print ads for BPI, Globe, Smart and STI College among others.

He returned to the limelight via the independent film “Masahista” (also starring in the movie were: Marvin Bautista and Jayson Colis) which tackled the lives of male masseurs. The said movie received accolades from film festivals in Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Greece, Hongkong, Switzerland, Slovenia and the USA. His most recent appearance in the big screen is in the movie “Siquijor”.
