Andrew Smith is a 21-year old model who recently joined the ranks of Carlo Maceda, Brent Javier, Marco Grazzini, Einar Ingebrigsten and Jerome Ortiz. He is this year’s winner of the annual Mossimo Bikini Summit Competition.

This half-Pinoy, half-Aussie cutie who set foot in Manila just recently to fulfill his modelling ambition, used to be a tennis coach back in his native Australia. Although barely new in the scene, he has already made commercials for Colgate, Pepsi and several others. Although I still believe that Adrian Racho should have won the competition (because he possessed the best physique among the male contenders), Andrew Smith was the perfect choice because apart from possessing the cutest face in the bunch, he epitomizes a well-disciplined model (he was able to develop his abs despite of the short preparation time). I guess the judges took other factors, aside from beauty of face and body, into consideration in their decision.

Now, he joins Marc Nelson, Geoff Briz and Brad Turvey among the successful imports from the Land Down Under.
