Leandro Baldemor: Hunk From The Past No. 11
|
Leandro Baldemor (Jeffrie Z. Baldemor in real life) was one of Seiko Film’s bold jewels during the late 1990s. Together with his contemporaries Rodel Velayo and Leonardo Litton, he inherited the throne that Gardo Versoza left when he went mainstream. He appeared in movies such as: Sariwa, Patikim Ng Pinya, Tukso Layuan Mo Ako 2, Pisil, Katawan, Burlesque Queen Ngayon, Pedrong Palad, Ikapitong Gloria, Virgin Wife, Huwag Kang Kikibo, Eskandalosa, Ligaya… Pantasya Ng Bayan, Bedtime Stories and Balat-sibuyas during his short-lived career (which lasted for less than a decade). Seeking for greener pastures, he left for the land of the rising sun, Japan, and tried his luck there as an entertainer. Upon his return (becoming several yens richer), he went into politics and ran as a board member for the 4th district of Laguna under the Partido Ng Masang Pilipino, but failed to garner enough votes to win him a seat in the board. Not much is known regarding his current whereabouts, but definitely, he has left Philippine showbiz for good.
