Alvin Alfonso: Fil-Canadian Hottie

Alvin Alfonso (Alvin Pulga in real life) is currently a member of Channel V’s pool of international VJ’s as VJ Alvey. However, before he even hosted Arcade and Popparazzi on the said channel, he was a popular commercial and ramp model in the Philippines. When he was only 20 years old and was studying at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, he came to the Philippines to visit his father’s homeprovince of Zambales. Soon thereafter, he has been introduced into the world of modelling and several commercial offers came pouring since then. He has appeared in countless print and tv ads, among them those of: PLDT DSL, Lewis and Pearl, Piknik, Colgate and of course, Bench clothing (where he appears in several billboards around the metro clad in either underwear or super low-rise jeans). He is often mistaken as Mossimo Bikini Summit 2003 grand winner, Brent Javier due to striking similarities with the latter – both of them are goodlooking, slim, toned and Canadian-bred. He joins G Toengi, Regine Tolentino, KC Montero, Cody Miller, Belinda Panelo, Sarah Meier, Donita Rose and Joey Mead in the roster of International VJ’s who are of Filipino lineage. Go Alvin! You make us proud.

Alvin is popular in Malaysia, I’m in KL right now for a business trip and saw him as one ofthe ad models for a mobile phone print ad, he really goes places, go Alvin, mkae us fellow Filipinos proud. Pinapalbas din dito yung mini-series ni ALfred vargas shot in KL, Muli ba iyon? (Me pasok kasi ako when it was telecast),kakalibog si Alfred!
