Ian Leonel Porlayagan: Mr. Philippines-International 2007
|
Hair Color: Dark Brown Ian Leonel Porlayagan bagged one of the top prizes at the recently concluded Mr. Philippines 2007. Aside from being awarded P50,000 in cash and a P100,000-certificate for talent and personality development at L’Atelier School, he has been given the chance to represent the Philippines at Mister International 2007 which will be held in Mexico City, Mexico in October. During the competition, Ian said that he used to be a farmer and he tilled his grandfather’s farm in Nueva Ecija with the use a carabao, at the onset, and eventually with a mechanized apparatus. Ian definitely made a big leap from farming to modelling and then to representing the Philippines in a major International pageant. You might be asking yourselves, “Would he do good?” With, Ian’s experience in pageants, I think so. Ian is no stranger to male pageants. He joined Ginoong Nueva Ecija and Bar Uno’s Mr. Aura in 2006 where he was adjudged 2nd Runner Up in both pageants. He also participated in the Mr. Philippines – World competition in February. Now, as our representative to Mr. International 2007, he has been given the chance to show the rest of the world what a charming, friendly and witty (not to mention gorgeous) Filipino man can do to be a good ambassador of goodwill to the whole world.
