Like most of you, I still haven’t gotten over the Mr. Philippines 2007 fever. More pics of the contestants from the official website and from Vince Lopez’s multiply site after the jump.

I know I should have posted this sooner; however, the webmaster of the Mr. Philippines website wasn’t able to upload these pics in time for the pageant. It was just uploaded today, thus the delay in the posting in this website.

I hope the next time they stage an event as big as this, they prepare way ahead of time. I have several rants about the Mr. Philippines 2007 pageant: 1.) The website should have contained the pics of the contestants way before the actual pageant night and not after. 2.) The organizers should have used their connections in the television networks to have been extended the necessary media mileage to advertise the event. There were less than 200 people who were present at the pageant. For event industry standards, it was quite a low audience turnout. 3.) The tickets (P500) were also too pricey for an event which was not well prepared for.

But, I would like to commend the organizers for the spectacular and elaborate stage. The fashion pieces were also remarkable – I especially commend Raoul Ramirez for his wonderful future-inspired men’s formal wear collection.

Overall, the pageant was a satisfactory success; I’d give it a passing mark. However, next year, I hope the organizers will pay close attention to the mistakes they’ve committed this year and never do them again.
