Close Up is the toothpaste brand which is best known for having launched the careers of several celebrities such as Robin Da Roza, Alain Sia, Matthew Mendoza, Brad Turvey, William Thio, Rafael Rosel, and other matinee idols. This the main reason why this Japanese-looking hunk, Kenji Dormitorio joined, the Close Up To Fame reality search organized by Close Up and ABS-CBN – He, along with 11 other male aspirants (which included Rodel Felicidario, Kris Martinez and grand winner Reyson Yap) wanted to further his modelling career and become a famous celebrity in the Philippines. Not having won in the prestigious Close Up competition did not deter him from joining other model searches. He also participated in Guess Faces To Watch: The Philippine search. However, it seems that luck in modelling competitions was not really on his side. Although unsuccessful in model searches despite his stunning smile and remarkable physique, Kenji has a lot to be grateful for because these competitions opened doors for him in the modelling industry. He has recently appeared in a commercial for Nescafe and is now one of the faces of Onesimus suits and barongs. Currently, Kenji is involved with Tuldok Animation Studios as one of its artists, together with another hunk, Ramon del Prado. |
