Raphael Kiefer is currently one of the country’s top male models. After having won the MTV Fashionista’s Best Male Model of the World – Philippines in 2003, several projects came his way. However, at the tender age of 18, then, his career didn’t take off as it should have. His fellow MTV Fashionista winner Brent Javier (Manhunt representative) became more popular and was talk of the town that same year,

Fast forward to summer 2007… Raphael or Rafa became very visible again in the modeling scene via the Century Tuna Superbods Beachfest. He, along with fellow pro-model Joevince Canizares, were among the 12 male hopefuls in the event. At stake in the competition is the chance to represent Century Tuna for one year and be P500,000 richer in the process. However, San Sebastian Golden Stags varsity players Ram Sagad Terramycin and JC Tiuseco took home the first and second prizes, with Rafa ending up in third place.

At present, Rafa is a member of the Professional Models of the Philippines (PMAP). This organization describes itself as “theonly organization of models run by models themselves, each confident of their own talents, abilities and capabilities to manage and plan their modeling careers.” In other words, Raphael Kiefer has associated himself with an organization of models who see themselves as the cream of the crop in the Philippines and are proponents of a “manager-free” modeling industry. The other members of this association are Reggie Curley, Brent Javier, Luke Jickain, Jeff Misolas, Hans Montenegro, Iago Raterta and a host of other A-List models. Trishan Cuaso and Rafa are newbies to this exclusive organization.
