TJ Trinidad: Newest Bankable Leading Man
|
Hair Color: Dark Brown TJ Trinidad is Raul Fenstan Trinidad Jr. in real life. His moniker “TJ” is short for “Trinidad Junior”. He studied at Colegio San Agustin in Makati during his elementary and high school days; and later on at De La Salle University – Manila to earn his Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Marketing Management degree. He also studied at the University of California – Berkeley to further his education in marketing. Immediately after he finished his studies, he worked in the world of business. However, acting on television and in movies was really his calling and it has been his dream since he was 10 years old. To realize this, he talked to Edu Manzano who was a family friend. The latter introduced him to his manager, June Rufino and it started from there. TJ, however, was no stranger to showbiz. He started doing commercials in 1986 and has since done ad campaigns for Close Up, Head and Shoulders, Jack n’ Jill Chocolates, PLDT, San Miguel Beer, Swatch and others. This made June Rufino’s job easier because TJ just has to make a transition from being a commercial model into an actor. While at June Rufino’s helm, he was able to be cast for ABS-CBN teleseryes “Basta’t Kasama Kita” and “Krystala” (both with Judy Ann Santos); “Gulong Ng Palad” (with Kristine Hermosa); and the recent Claudine Barretto-Piolo Pascual starrer “Walang Kapalit”. TJ also played significant roles in other ABS-CBN shows like “Your Song”, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” , “Pedro Penduko”, “Rounin”. His big screen debut was in Katya Santos’ launching movie, “Keka” . He then starred in the Japanese-Occupation-themed movie, “Aishite Imasu 1947″ (with Judy Ann Santos and Dennis Trillo). He also had special roles in the movies “Uno”, “The Promise”, “Shake, Rattle and Roll Part 8″, “Tiyanaks” and “A Love Story”. TJ is set to appear in the upcoming movies “Resiklo” (with Senator Bong Revilla), “Desperadas” and “Kulam”. Incidentally, today is the airing of his newest soap opera, “Prinsesa Ng Banyera” which reunites him with “Gulong Ng Palad” co-star Kristine Hermosa. TJ has been making waves since his foray into acting. He has emerged to be one of the country’s most bankable young leading men today. I knew you would make it big since I’ve seen you walk the halls of LS Building. All the best to you fellow LaSallian! |
