John Miller: Mysterious In More Ways Than One
|
John Miller is a Filipino-Australian hunk who seems to have chosen a path to stardom different from that taken by his other half-Aussie mates Brad Murdoch, Marc Nelson and Andrew Smith. Instead of going into mainstream modeling, John (who used to be into manual labor) has taken the bold route into showbiz – he has joined the daring all-male revue group, Men of Provoq, It wasn’t really easy for John, or any member of the Men of Provoq for that matter to get into Viva’s hottest group of male commodities today. He, and the rest of the guys, went through a series of go-sees and auditions before landing a spot in the popular brood of hunks. Luckily for him, his distinct mestizo look was able to catch the fancy of Viva management and he was picked to be part of the original ten which was comprised of himself, Niko Arellano, Justin de Leon, Gabz del Rosario, Raymond Lim, Anthony Logan, Dennis McIrvin, Josh Ivan Morales, Chester Nolledo and Johnron Tanada. At present, the group has lost Dennis McIrvin (no word as to his present whereabouts) and Raymond Lim (who has taken the pageant route, and joined Mr. Philippines – 2007. He is to represent our country in the Mister ExpoWorld International which will be held in Guatemala sometime in November); but has added the young and promising Harry Chua (aka Harry Laurel – who turns out to be more than enough to compensate for the loss of the two aforementioned). Well, back to John… I had the chance to meet him at the “Cruise” show which was held a couple of months back and was able to interact with him. He is the most bashful and seemingly the least noticed among the members of the group. He is really the silent-type and just smiles when necessary. However, his reserved demeanor would gravitate you to him – he exudes that certain mysterious masculine aura. Adding up to his mystery is the fact that the color of his eyes changes in six different hues, consistent with his moods. Although the youngest and shortest in the bunch, this La Union native seems to be the most daring member of the bump-and-grinders. As a testament to this, he has agreed to star in a provocative show entitled “Private John M” which was held at the Lips Bar a couple of weeks back. For those who missed the show, I’ve heard there’s going to be a repeat so watch out for that. |
