The latest addition to the fashion scene comes in the form of yet another model search, born from Style Magazine’s passion to fill its glossy pages with its own discoveries. From nearly a year of go-sees, test photo shoots, invites to exclusive parties, TV and radio guestings, makeovers, fashion shows and semi-final competitions (called “legs”), the previous season of Style Eye Catchers Model Search’s hopefuls were narrowed down to twenty grand finalists. For their catwalk skills and their mannequin-like features, male contestant Cris Lomotan and female candidate Bamba Jose earned very high marks. But it was their answers to the judges’ questions that deemed them worthy of the title as the Grand Finals Winners of the first season of Style Eye Catchers Model Search.

The second season of Style Eye Catchers Model Search began with “Leg 8″ last October at Cabin Bar and Resto’s aircraft-like interiors. With Tara Tambunting as host, Style Eye Catchers Model Search Leg 8 was covered by TV Patrol, Rated K, and GMA Showbiz Central. Even prior to the competition proper, the contestants introduced themselves at guestings for radio (99.5 Hit FM) and TV (GMA7′s Unang Hirit). Judges Andrew De Real, Jonas Gruet of Style, Katya Santos, Larry Leviste, Luke Jickain, and Ogie Diaz rated the candidates in casuals, swimwear and formals for slots at the second season of the Grand Finals.

The first set of grand finalists for the second season are Leg 8 winners Joyce Chua and Ado Novales, 1st runners up Sheena Lambengco and Raph Almeda, 2nd runners up Eve Metra and Renz Pare, and female finalists Faye Sison, Jass Padillo and male finalists Bryan Lopez and Marco Legaspi.

Special Awards given that night were – Best in Casual: Sheena Lambengco and Jude Dayao; Best in Swimwear: Joyce Chua and Ado Novales; Best in Formal: Joyce Chua and Ado Novales; Moschino Funny: Sheena Lambengco; Unconventional Man of the Night: Louie Cristi; Antonov: Essy Cabasug and Louie Cristi; Don Enrique: Khamla Andal and Raph Almeda; Cabin Award: Essy Labasug and Ado Novales; Voters’ Choice: Jean Mendoza and Renz Pare; St. George Premium Whisky: Sheena Lambengco and Jude Dayao; Gran Matador: Joyce Chua and Ado Novales; Ginebra San Miguel Premium Gin: Len Ancheta and Chinz Ching; Mary Pauline: Jazel Justiniani and Jude Dayao.
