A “go-see” is a modeling terminology used to denote auditions for model casting; this word is used interchangeably with model casting calls or model cattle calls. Go-sees are usually organized by fashion show producers and designers weeks or months before the actual show to enable them to see the available models and to choose the ones who possess the certain “look” required for the show.

The models who are chosen are then subjected to further screenings. These models are, first, made to walk before a panel of fashion show organizers so the latter can determine if these models can indeed “walk” the ramp during the show. Then, the models are interviewed as to their modeling restrictions (what they are willing to wear on stage). Lastly, photos of these models are taken for the final review by the casters. After the go-see, the models are contacted, through their agents, if they made it through the rigorous screening process.

This is the usual scenario in a go-see. Anything out of the ordinary (like asking the models to pay go-see fees) is improper. So, if you are a model and you are made to pay a go-see fee for a casting call, you better think twice – it is most likely a scam.

One of the legitimate go-sees organized for a fashion show is that for the All Out 3 Fashion Show which was recently held at the Penthouse of Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City. Several models attended the event and from among them, these five were selected to appear on the show: Mark Cortez, Peter Ojano, Jeffrey Subastil, Jetry de la Cruz and Jimmy Dionisio. These five will grace the show together with the eight other models who made it during the first round of go-sees.
