Harvey Cruz: Inching His Way To The Top
|
Hair Color: Black Harvey Cruz was a nursing undergraduate at the Our Lady of Fatima University before being bitten by the “modeling” bug. He was on his way home when he was spotted by an agent who was then looking for contestants for the Ginoong Bulacan 2004 pageant. Not really knowing what lies in store in the competition, he grabbed the offer and took his chance. Despite being a greenhorn in personality searches, he was fortunate to have been declared the Ginoong Bulacan – Turismo that year. At first, Harvey was not really interested in modeling because he really wanted to be a nurse and work abroad; however, he realized his potential to become a model so he discontinued his college studies and pursued modeling. Two years after his stint at Ginoong Bulacan, he joined Style Eyecatchers Model Search Leg 5 and was declared 4th Runner up in the search. Subsequently, he was signed in by the Victo Rio Modeling Agency and the latter handled his modeling career. While at Victo Rio, he was cast in several fashion shows, some of which were: the La Salle International Fashion School Show with Gerry Katigbak and the Rustan’s Anniversary Fashion Show. This January 2008, he did a Fashion Editorial shoot for Manifesto Magazine with popular photographer Doc Marlon Pecjo – a shoot which Harvey relates he is very grateful for. He further claims that Doc Marlon really made a model out of him. At present, he is affiliated with Raven Modeling Agency. He now joins the ranks of Carlo Adorador, Luke Jickain, Raphael Kiefer, Peter Nordel, Marco Odejar, Mark Onir, Cris Camus and other popular male models. With his height, built and walk, fashion experts say that he could make it big in the international fashion scene. Very soon, he’s going to try his luck in Hongkong and Singapore. All the best to you, Harvey! Photo Credit: Doc Marlon Pecjo for some pics in this post. |
