After being introduced in the Richard Gutierrez-Marian Rivera starrer, My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend, commercial model and Marilao municipal councilor Alex Castro is set to appear in the sequel to the hit movie, “Manay Po”.

In “Manay Po 2: Overload”, the 22-year old actor plays the role of John Prats’ second gay lover - a role which requires him to wear only his tight-whities in one scene. When asked if he had hesitations in doing this scene, being relatively a newcomer in the industry, he responded by saying that since the movie is a comedy and the role calls for it, he will be willing to do it. When further asked if he would be willing to do a kissing scene with John, he exclaimed that it all depends upon his managers Roselle Monteverde-Teo and Manny Valera.

Despite being visible in showbiz, the young politician clarified that he will not neglect his responsibilities to his constituents in Marilao. He added that he schedules his shooting days whenever he is not busy serving his town.

For those who wish to see more of Alex on the big and small screens, he is not yet certain if he will continue his showbiz career or not. Probably if he gets ample support from his woul-be fans in his upcoming movie, “Manay Po 2: Overload”, he might just change his mind and consider being an actor, full time.
