Contrary to what has been written about Gerald Anderson, the young actor actually still has a career and is not one of the frozen delights of the Kapamilya Network. Very soon, he will be appearing in the Claudine Barretto-led soap entitled “Susan Roces Cinema Collection Presents: Maligno” where he will again be paired with fellow Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Housemate Kim Chiu. And immediately following the suspense-horror teleserye, he is slated to reprise the role of “Julian” in the much awaited Filipino adaptation of the Koreanovela entitiled “My Girl” with of course, Kim Chiu.

At the onset, rumors have been circulating that Sam Milby will be the Filipino-Chinese cutie’s love interest in the said soap. To dispel these rumors, a press conference was held by ABS-CBN specifically to confirm the Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson team up in “My Girl”.

In preparation for the soap, the Filipino-American actor/model admits to have been going to the gym religiously to project a hunkier and more mature image. He also went through a series of acting workshops to make a realistic portrayal of his role.

The two will start taping for the soap anytime soon as it is scheduled to have a May 2008 playdate. Incidentally, Sam Milby will still be a part of the show – not as a member of the cast, but as the singer of its theme song.
