Josh Ivan Morales on going mainstream
|
Josh Ivan Morales (aka Maico Eduria), after gaining notoriety by starring in a scandalous skin flick two years ago, seems to be going serious with his acting career. Last year he was seen in two independent films directed by Ihman Esturco - “Troika” and “Kumpisal”. Early this year, he was part of the cast of what is dubbed as the boldest independent film ever produced in the Philippines - “Ang Lihim Ni Antonio”. And a few days ago, this Provoq Man was sighted in the Piolo Pascual-Angel Locsin suspense-thriller series, “Lobo”, as one of the members of the “Black Wayas”, a group of uncouth man-wolves in search of their clan’s destined savior who is presumably Angel Locsin’s character. I hope the exposure given to Josh Ivan could pave the way to a bigger showbiz career to help him “graduate” from the bump-and-grind group, Men of Provoq, and go mainstream. In time, I’m sure, more projects of this caliber would come his way. Incidentally, Josh Ivan is also a castmember of ABS-CBN’s temporarily shelved teleserye project, “Annaliza”, which is topbilled by Maja Salvador. |
