On April 26, 2008, ABS-CBN will bring to life another superhero who is a product of Mars Ravelo’s creative imagination – Kapitan Boom! This would be the first time that this superhero would grace the television screens and Jon Mullally (aka Jon Avila) is the lucky actor who gets to play his character. Here is the unconfirmed plot of the story: “Jay-R Siaboc portrays Lance, son of an electrical engineer who was raised in the province. Harnessing the unique power of sound, he transforms into Kapitan Boom (Jon Avila). He is in love with his childhood crush Melody (Maja Salvador), who is a commercial model. Marriana del Rio portrays Cheska, Melody’s cousin from Brazil.”

Kapitan Boom! is the first offering of the show “Komiks” as it makes a comeback. Watch Jon as he fights crime using his super shield, super boom and his power of flight as Kapitan Boom! The show will have its thunderous arrival on April 26 and will be aired every Saturday night replacing “I Am KC.”
