Rumors abound that John Prats is contemplating on making a transfer to GMA7 and he has allegedly said farewell to his co-stars in ASAP ’08 where he can regularly be seen. An interview with John disproves such claim. He said that he never had any plans of becoming a Kapuso artist and he would remain with ABS-CBN for as long as the Kapamilya executives want him there.

Well, the Kapamilya network has been taking good care of John and he has never run out of projects with his home studio. Currently, he is reported to have been taping for his upcoming comedy series entitled “Parekoy” which would have its pilot telecast on April 28 taking the “Palos” timeslot. The show would reunite him with his co-stars from the defunct show, “Aalog-alog”, Jason Gainza and Zanjoe Marudo. It would also feature the former contestants of the reality show, “The Search For The Next White Castle Girl”.

He is also busy shooting for the film, “Loving You” which pairs him with Kapuso star Ehra Madrigal.

Incidentally, his most recent project, the movie “Manay Po 2: Overload” had its successful premiere night on April 13, 2008. In the sequel, John reprises the role of the fashion designer Orson who now has a new male love interest in the person of the amnesiac Rainier (played by Alex Castro). “Manay Po 2: Overload” hits the theaters on April 16, 2008.
