Billy Crawford on his surprise move
|
In the recent trade presentation organized by ABS-CBN for its advertisers, a shocking announcement allegedly jolted the whole venue as the Pinoy Dream Academy 2’s hosts were announced. They were expecting that the upcoming singer-search will be hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Nikki Gil and Ryan Agoncillo. However, during the launch, Ryan was reportedly replaced by no less than Fil-Am singing sensation Billy Crawford. This news item came as a big surprise for one of GMA7’s executives. In an interview, the unnamed exec said that after his reality dance show “Move” in the Kapuso network, he was slated to do another reality show entitled “Dance Match”. They were just waiting for his return to the Philippines after his engagements in the United States to brainstorm about his supposed new show when this unexpected twist came about. Billy’s mentor in the Philippines, German “Kuya Germs” Moreno was reportedly furious about his discovery’s decision to transfer to the Kapamilya network. It seems that Billy failed to inform Kuya Germs of his plan of hosting the ABS-CBN-Endemol co-production and the former just found out about this in the papers. |

well, hindi naman abs ang kumuha sa kanya in the first place, kundi endemol mismo so it’s not abs’ fault. i’ve read also na he will be hosting france’s version of dream academy too which is star academy. we all know that endemol is a global media giant and being signed by them personally is a big achievement. go billy and make us all proud!

bakit kaya big deal ang paghost ni billy ng pda? eh wala namang existing contract si billy with gma 7. freelancer kaya siya.
i also read that after his stint with pda, direcho na siya sa paris to host the star academy there. billy has been a household name in france since 1999 and i’m sure his french fans are very glad to see him again soon.
we just have to be proud of billy. he afterall is beyond the network war.
