Victor Basa, the model-turned-actor and former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 housemate, bids adieu to his character in “Star Magic Presents: Astigs” as the television show comes to a close. The last taping days of the show were held in Camarines Sur and Victor makes a brief appearance in it. Although he was not part of the original cast, he became part of its farewell episode since majority of the actors in the series were also part of the show’s predecessor, “Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv”. It became a reunion of sorts for the two shows’ cast members and a time to reminisce their experiences in the teen-oriented dramas.

Victor admits to have been saddened by the cancellation of the show but claims that he is very thankful to it for being an avenue where he was able to hone his acting skills. On a positive note, he considers the show’s culmination as his graduation from teeny-bopper roles into more serious ones. He expects that in his future shows, he can portray characters similar to the one he played in the Piolo Pascual-Claudine Barretto starrer, “Walang Kapalit”.

Incidentally, Victor can be regularly seen in ASAP ’08 where he performs as a part of the sing-and-dance group of hunks, “Coverboys”. They will have their first major concert at the Music Museum on May 9 & 10, 2008.
