Carlo Guevarra on career goings on and my unsolicited advice
|
After winning the most coveted Bench endorsement and ABS-CBN management contracts at Be Bench: The Model Search reality show held last year, Carlo Guevarra has become one of the faces of Bench Clothing Co.’s “Vintage” and “White Gold” advertising campaigns and has starred in the youth-oriented television series “Astigs” and “Kung Fu Kids”. Since then, however, Carlo has not been visible in the boob tube. It has become apparent that his runners up in the reality model search, Haroun Morales and John James Uy, have overtaken him career-wise, both being part of ASAP ’08’s all-male group, Coverboys and appearing in ABS-CBN shows left and right. I have seen Carlo act and it seems that he has a lot to improve on - especially his speech. His voice is a bit shrilly and shrieky if you ask me, and I think that’s the reason why he can’t be a matinee idol, yet. His manager should probably get him voice lessons so he could learn to modulate his voice and deliver his lines better. The guy has a lot of potential, and I hope it doesn’t go to waste. Given the proper vocal training and acting workshops, this handsome guy could really go places. It’s not yet too late, Carlo. |

The boy lacks a lot of things in the first place. He should have been a runner-up and worked his way up from there, instead of being the winner and slowly slide down from there.

I always see him in person for months now, i mean almost everyday. he lacks charm and he looks suplado in person coz he seldom smile. I guess he is just shy. But I agree with proper training/workshop he can improve his acting and speech.
