Chris Ong-Hay: Gym Aficionado Turned Model

Hair Color: Black Unlike most of the models who started out young in their careers, Chris Ong-Hay was already 23 years old when he had his first modeling experience. He first finished his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Applications at De La Salle University – College of St. Benilde before venturing into modeling. But what really got Chris into modeling? Here’s a little backgrounder: Chris was a lanky teener and his ex-girlfriend got him to join her in the gym. Having the naturally slim athletic frame that he has made it easier for him to develop muscles in all the right areas (with a little help from muscle-building supplements, of course). So, in no time, he was able to achieve the toned-muscular physique he has today. The first ever television commercial he starred in was a Clear Men Shampoo commercial, and this is yet to be followed. Wanting to take his modeling career into new heights, he tried out for Bodyshots 2008 (his first ever modeling competition). Luckily, he was chosen as one of the few finalists. While the Bodyshots 2008 competition was ongoing, he ventured into a bikini contest thinking it would also help his career. He joined Heatwave 2008 Summer Bikini Showdown held at Starmall Alabang. He didn’t get any of the top honors in the contest, but it definitely got him some recognition. He just charged his stint with Heatwave 2008 to experience.. (In my opinion, he should have won at least one of the major titles, if not the grand prize), Not having won in Heatwave didn’t dampen his spirits. He continued with Bodyshots 2008 modeling competition, but also failed to bag any of the top prizes. Although he didn’t win in the competition, it definitely opened new doors for him in the modeling world. Now at 24, Chris has been showing a lot of promise as a model. His amazing Chinito look and incredibly gym-buffed body will definitely land him a lot of modeling jobs in the future. |
