Victor Aliwalas on being caught in a career dilemma

Bemuscled showbiz newcomer Victor Aliwalas contemplates on whether he should stay in the Philippines to continue his fledgling showbiz career or leave it for good to concentrate on his career in New York. According to Victor, he is happy with how his career is going right now. His home network, GMA7, has been very supportive of him giving him one show after the other. He has already appeared in the teleseryes Marimar and Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan. His exposure in GMA7 shows also helped him land roles in tv commercials, the most notable of which is his Mitsubishi Outlander commercial; and ramp modeling assignments, like his stint at the Philippine Fashion Week 2008. Despite all these, however, Victor is not fully bent on giving up his high-paying job in New York as a banker. He is currently in the process of weighing which of the two careers holds a place closer to his heart. Nevertheless, if Victor decides to give up his acting/modeling career in the Philippines, we will still get to see him (for the last time?) in the upcoming Filipino adaptation of the Koreanovela “My Name Is Kim Sam Soon” where he will have a guest role. |
