Andrew Schimmer on not being choosy when it comes to movie roles
|
Andrew Schimmer started out in showbiz as a lanky lad who had a lot to capitalize on – goodlooks, clear skin and a foreign-sounding surname. He had a lot going on for him at the beginning of his career, but at some point after that, his career began to spiral downward. He went on a hiatus for a time and re-packaged himself as the gym-buffed mestizo that he is now. His new hunky body got him offers where he would shed off his wholesome image. Without batting an eyelash, he accepted the offer which would cast him opposite Cristine Reyes in the latter’s launching movie – Green Paradise. That movie catapulted him into nationwide consciousness again. He started getting more television and movie projects, his two latest being films which demanded daring performances – “Torotot” and “Eskandalo”. Of the two movies mentioned “Torotot” will be shown earlier. “Torotot”, a movie about marital infidelity, brings together bold movie actors past and present; its cast includes Maui Taylor, Anton Bernardo, Yul Servo, Baron Geisler and Precious Adona. “Eskandalo”, on the other hand, is loosely based on the YouTube viral video which involved doctors and nurses from a certain hospital in Cebu. In latter, Andrew went a bit more risque in his scenes with co-star Emilio Garcia. The scenes are too explicit to be written about, I think you have to see both movies for yourself. In an interview, Andrew said that he is not choosy in accepting movie offers. As long as the script is good and the character he would sildenafil 100mg play in the movie is edgy, he would take on the challenge. |
