Former Ginoong Pilipinas 2004 candidate Marvin Miranda wanted to get into mainstream modeling, so, during the middle of this year, he went to the screening of one of the most prestigious model searches in the country today, Bodyshots. Marvin underwent the rigorous screening process and was very fortunate to have been declared as one of the finalists. On the night, of the competition, Marvin took home most of the special awards: Met Tathione Beautiful Skin – Male, Mr. Fashion Tourism, and Gap Individual Style – Male. However, he was unsuccessful in bagging top honors (Click here for the competition’s male winners)

Despite his defeat at Bodyshots, he was able to land modeling assignments after the competition. The most notable among these is his getting featured at the Bench Denim and Underwear show, Experience: Blackout. It is one of the most awaited fashion events in the country which only happens every two years. The said show could be likened to a modeling mecca. All Filipino models want to be included in the said fashion event but only few are chosen. If a model gets through the several go sees, he can really consider himself a top model. And Marvin can be proud to say he was one of the models who walked the ramp at the successful Bench biennial fashion show held this year.
