Carlo Guevarra, together with other members of the Be Bench: The Model Search male top 3 – Ron Morales and John James Uy, was included in the list of models who were present in Experience: Blackout. He didn’t have to go through any of the go-sees (held in Baguio, Manila and Cebu) like Bodyshots alumni Harvey Cruz, Marvin Miranda, Chris Ong-Hay, Jobo Roa, Sadatsugu Suzuki and Mario Lee Zamboni and most models in the show. It comes as no surprise that he made it to the biennial fashion event, being the grand winner of Bench’s first ever reality model search. However, despite this “special privilege”, he showed us that he is worthy to walk the ramp alongside top models and actors in Philippine showbusiness. His physique has greatly improved since the Be Bench competition – the ultra skinny Carlo Guevarra is no more.

Apart from his notable appearance in the Bench Denim and Underwear show this year, lucky guy Carlo was also included in the cast of ABS-CBN’s newest primetime bida fantaserye “Dyosa”. Although he only has a supporting role in the soap, it gave him the chance to act opposite big stars like Luis Manzano and Anne Curtis. He doesn’t have much speaking lines in “Dyosa” but at least he now plays a role of one of the protagonists. Formerly, he was cast as either a bully (in Astigs) or a minor villain (in Kung Fu Kids). That in itself, I think, is a major improvement.
