Filipino-British soccer star Phil Younghusband is the latest eliminee in the Philippine version of Celebrity Duets. Out of the remaining contenders last week, Phil and JC Buendia had the two lowest number of text votes. However, between JC and him, it was Phil who garnered the lowest votes; thus, he got the boot. After successfully battling it out for three weeks in the second season of popular GMA7 reality show, he succumbed to defeat on his fourth week in the show. He emotionally bade adieu to the show last night.

According to sources, even if Phil was retained for another week in the show, he would have been booted out the following week anyway due to his less than satisfactory performance this week. He sang “You’ll Always Be My Baby” with Jolina Magdangal and all he got was unpleasant remarks from the judges. Most of them said that it was a bad choice of song and added that Phil could have pulled it off had he chosen a simpler song.

Well, that leaves fashion designer JC Buendia; comedian Joey Marquez; MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando and beauty queen buy propecia on line Carlene Aguilar in the running for this season’s Philippine Celebrity Duets crown. Who among them will take over Tessa Prieto-Valdez’ throne? We’ll find out in the coming weeks.
