Jao Mapa on getting used to disrobing
|
Erstwhile teen actor Jao Mapa, now 32 years of age, finally agrees to show a bit more flesh in a new digital flick entitled “Miss Taken”. In the film, the former “Gwapings” member is paired with two daring showbiz newcomers, Mellow Johnson and Pia Peron, each of whom he had love scenes with. In an interview, Jao said that it’s high time that he shed his wholesome image the audience has grown accustomed to and take a more mature outlook on acting. His decision to take the bold route came when he realized that as an actor his portrayal of a role should be as realistic as possible and if disrobing is required, he should not have any qualms in doing so. Jao added that this experience is very liberating and that he does not see anything wrong with it. Jao ends the interview by saying that he would be willing to go bare for his future projects as long as the movie has a good script and if the story indeed calls for it. Jao also went a bit daring in his last independent film entitled “Xerox” where he played four complicated characters from three different generations. “Xerox” also starred Nancy Castiglione, Michael Rivero and William Redmond. |

i dont understand why “graduating into mature roles” means baring??? i dont agree that these two are synonymous. you can graduate to mature roles without baring. maybe graduate to adult roles means baring. to these actors, get real!
did you guys see his still photos? gosh, he did not graduate to mature roles. he graduated to comedy roles!! para siyang si binky the clown naked with his butt and love handles exposed to the camera. sayang, he is talented pa naman. his talents alone are enough to make him graduate to mature roles.

its because filipinos are shallow minded. the fact that there is no hit TV show that showcases character/situational comedy like those 30minute comedy shows in the usa (seinfeld, frasier) and instead we have gag shows that spits on the intelligence of ALL MANKIND, ALL RACES speaks volume of the filipino race.
and woe and shame to all moviestarlets who, when promoting their trash films, say boldly “matatalino na ang mga manunuod na pilipino”
pweh.
