Jeff Surio on a sudden twist of fate
|
Perennial pageant first runner up Jeff Surio finally gets the biggest break in his career as he gets to represent the Philippines in the 2008 Mister International pageant. As you may remember, it was Filipino-American former army man Ryan Roberts who won in the local pageant which was held on September 1, 2008 at A. Venue Mall. However, due to health reasons, Ryan was forced to drop out of the competition. Mister International-Philippines pageant director, Mike Lim, decided to fly in Jeff Surio as his replacement. On Tuesday, November 18, 2008, Jeff would join other contestants from Angola, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Croatia, France, Greece, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Slovenia, Taiwan, USA, Venezuela and Vietnam at the biggest Mister International pageant to date. If Jeff wins the title, he will be receiving US$5,000, a one-of-a-kind hand-sculptured Mister International trophy valued at US$10,000, representation by the Mister Singapore organization, a city apartment for the year of his term while in Singapore and a host of other prizes. The finals night of Mister International 2008 will be held on November 24, 2008 at the Tainan Municipal Cultural Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Photo credit: Bubum Melgar for a pic in this post. |

wow naman. eh talaga naman mas may karapatan si jeff surio versus the winner. natangay lang yata ang judges sa slang ng winner. i was there to root for another candidate na friend ko, and i saw this winner. gosh, straight na straight ang sides niya. wala man lang shape! mukha pang madumi.
