As early as summer this year, reports have abound that multi-talented actor Diether Ocampo is contemplating on leaving the network which has been his home for over a decade, ABS-CBN, and transfering to its rival station GMA7 in an attempt to revive his formerly flourishing career. Diether kept on denying this rumor but admitted to receiving offers from the Kapuso network.

However, today, in a news tidbit for the Philippine Star, Ricky Lo has confirmed said rumor and even got into the details of GMA7 deal. The popular actor, reportedly, inked a maximum four-year contract with GMA7 on November 17. Allegedly, his first project for the Kapuso network is the Philippine adaptation of the high-rating Koreanovela, “All About Eve”, which will start production in a few weeks’ time and would star Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Jean Garcia and Eula Valdez.

If there is truth to this item from the rumor mill, Diether would be joining Marvin Agustin, Patrick Garcia, Paolo Contis, Jolina Magdangal, Heart Evangelista and a host of other fine young actors and actresses from ABS-CBN in their new home, GMA7. Diether was last seen in the ABS-CBN teleserye, “Iisa Pa Lamang”.
