Piolo Pascual on his stint down under
|
Piolo Pascual returns to the big screen via his new movie “Land Down Under” which reunites him with “Lobo” co-star, Angel Locsin. This is Piolo’s first mainstream movie this 2008, his other movie is a digital flick entitled “Manila”. In the film, Piolo is Migo, a Manila-based yuppie who after several years of working in the big city, returns to Bukidnon in an attempt to get back the ranch his family lost when his father died. Upon his return, he sees Arah (Angel Locsin), Bukidnon’s rodeo queen and his first love. He falls in love with Arah again but finds out that she is engaged to be married with an Australian rancher. When Arah left for Australia, Migo felt empty and devised a planned to win back her heart. He soon finds her, but is it too late for him to reclaim her love? The plot seems really interesting, but Piolo-Angel fans in the Philippines will have to wait until January 2009 to see the movie. Star Cinema decided to hold the movie’s world premiere in the United States – in Wadsworth Theatre in Los Angeles to be exact. “Land Down Under” will be shown in Wadsworth Theatre on December 6, 2008 and in Fox Theatre in San Francisco on December 7, 2008. The first public screening of the movie coincides with the grand Star Cinema Film Festival which would also showcase the movies “My Big Love” and “My Only U”. |
