Jeff Surio on making his country proud
|
Philippine representative to the Mister International 2008 competition, Jeffrey Miguel Surio, failed to bag the title, but was able to make his country proud as he placed in the semi-finals. It may be remembered that Jeff was only a last-minute replacement to Mister International – Philippines 2008 Ryan Roberts who experienced a seizure attack during the first day of competitions at the male pageant. Despite the lack of training and preparation, Jeff was able to land a spot in the Top Ten which is a remarkable feat in itself. The other contestants who made it to the Top Ten were the representatives from China, Croatia, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan (ROC) and Vietnam. Mr. Vietnam Ngo Tien Doan eventually took home the grand prize and became Vietnam’s first man ever to win an international pageant title. Before winning the Mister International 2008 title, Ngo Tien Doan was the Mr. Physique awardee in Manhunt International 2007. |

WOW Jeff,,, Ang galing naman. Congrats again for making it to the top ten. If you were given more preparation I bet you’d make it to the top 3. You have a good future ahead of you.

Checked the pictures of the winners and they are less gorgeous that you. I can really say its because of the lack of preparation. Like you in your national costume. :)

In an Eat Bulaga contest:
Jimmy Santos: Spell ‘confidence’
Jeff Surio: C-O-N-F-I-D-E-N-T-S
I love him!

Jeff did an awesome job with the short notice. If there was anyone i would have wanted to take my place.. it would of been Jeff. Jeff and I are good friends and he really did make us proud. But i still wish i could of stayed to compete.. i felt as if i let everyone down. kudos to Mike Lim, the national director for mister international Philippines, for sending jeff there in a speedy manner and for the teriffic support he gave me before i left for Taiwan.
