Jason Abalos on being given twice as many opportunities to shine

It has become apparent that former Star Circle Quest Season 2 questor Jason Abalos has risen to a more highly-favored status compared to the other actors in ABS-CBN’s talent pool. At present, he is the only actor in the Kapamilya network to have two concurrent teleseryes – one in the afternoon (Pieta) and another in the evening (Eva Fonda). Aside from this, Jason was included in the shortlist of Starstudio magazine’s most sizzling men under 23 and of Metro Magazine’s hottest personalities in showbiz right now (being honored and featured in the latter’s December 2008 issue). Both are publications from the Kapamilya network’s print-media arm, ABS-CBN Publishing. Well, we can’t blame the ABS-CBN management if they see a lot of potential in Jason. He has already proven his worth as an actor by being awarded two recognitions this year – as Best Performer in the Young Critics’ Circle and as Best Actor in the Gawad Urian – both for the independent film, “Endo”. |
