Jake Cuenca on his return to primetime
|
Jake Cuenca‘s comeback vehicle to ABS-CBN’s primetime block is the soap opera “Tayong Dalawa” where he plays third wheel to the formidable Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson team-up. In the television series, Jake plays the role of David Garcia, a cadet at the Philippine Military Academy who shares the same name and the love for the same woman with his half brother (played by Gerald Anderson). The brothers, although having a lot things in common, come from opposite ends of the social spectrum. One grew up moneyed while the other in an impoverished neighborhood. Jake relates that he is very happy to be back in primetime after a long hiatus from doing primetime soaps – he was last seen the teleserye “Palos” where he played title role. Before that, his other primetime shows were “Sana Maulit Muli”, “SineSerye Presents: Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos?” and “Lastikman” which he did one after the other. He claims to have been given enough time to rest, and is now ready for this project. “Tayong Dalawa” was initially set for a December 2008 playdate, but the Kapamilya network’s management decided for the soap to be one of its first teleserye offerings for 2009. So, watch out for it this coming January, only on ABS-CBN. |
