19-year old Elyzar “Jolas” Paguia, once dubbed as the “gentle giant” while still a housemate at the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus (second season of the popular reality show’s teen version), sheds off his wholesome image to return to the limelight. When he was part of the said show, his intention was to get into the premier college basketball league in the country , the UAAP, but apparently, somewhere along the way, his career plans changed and he is now back to try his luck in showbiz.

Late last year, to signify his interest in pursuing a career in Philippine showbiz, he joined the search for Tutuban Mall’s image model, Mr. Tutuban 2008. Unfortunately, he was unable to snatch the grand prize from the eventual winner, Peter Danganan. He landed a spot in the semi-finals, though.

Upon his re-entry into the entertainment world, Jolas joins the all-male group Cappuccinos together with another showbiz newbie, Edouard George. The two will be joining the Cappuccino’s 8 other members for the group’s grand summer relaunch. At 6’4″, Jolas becomes the tallest member of the sexy group edging out 6’2″-tall Christian Cayabyab for the position. As part of Cappuccinos, Jolas is expected to show a tad bit more skin in pictorials and independent films.
