Jolas Paguia: A Welcome Addition
|
The Cappuccinos, the group which stirred up the indie film circuit with their risque film “Sagwan”, recently underwent a major reorganization. According to a reliable source, management disputes led to the exodus of three of its members Anton Vincent Malco, Erie Obsena and Gino Cabrillas from the all-male group. The parting of ways between the group and the said three led to the decision of its management to take in new members to complete the octet. In the group’s grand relaunch held last April 5, 2009, Kish McBride (grand winner of Heatwave Bikini Open 2008); Brendan Lewis, a Canadian model; and Elyzar “Jolas” Paguia, a former Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus housemate, were introduced as replacements to the axed members. Also presented during the relaunch were current Cappuccinos members Dennis Torres, Ryan Dungo, Adrian Campos, Rod Ortiz and Christian Cayabyab. Among these new batch of Cappuccinos, it is quite apparent that Jolas has become the major crowd-drawer. It seems that the public is interested in what this 19-year old former Far Eastern University cager has to offer. Expect to see Jolas and the rest of the Cappuccinos in shows and movies in the future. As for the fate of the former Cappuccinos, I got word that they will be forming a new group. However, this piece of information is still unverified. |
