Hair Color: Dark Brown James “Jimmy” Curry is a 22-year old model from Los Angeles, California. He was born to a Filipina mother from Pangasinan and an American father. Jimmy keeps himself fit by getting involved into a wide range of sports activities. He is into surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, cycling and martial arts. While in highschool, he also participated in waterpolo events which won him the Most Valuable Player Award during his senior year. The half-Filipino model, who could give romance novel cover Fabio a run for hi money, is also into music. He plays the guitar and enjoys dancing to hiphop tunes. In his spare time, his leisure activities include drawing, painting and writing poetry. He has done a bit of modeling work for the Filipino Community in Los Angeles, having participated in several of their events. He took part in the Mr. Asia Pageant in 2007 and Fashion Manila fashion show held that same year. He also appeared in US-based Filipino publications like Celebrity Chronicle in 2007 and a Calendar which featured Filipino-American models last year. Jimmy intends to get into Philippine showbiz. He, actually, is interested in joining the latest season of Pinoy Big Brother and hopes that they will have a round of auditions in his hometown. He plans to come home to Manila during the third quarter of the year to see if he can make it as an actor-model here. During our shoot, his mother related an encounter which change Jimmy’s life forever. A few years back, Jimmy got involved in a car crash which resulted to him being indisposed for a good number of months. His mother said that it was really a miracle that he survived the accident. The accident was not entirely unfortunate, however, as it brought Jimmy closer to his family. |
