Jon Avila has really gone a long way since his stint at the Pinoy Big Brother House a couple of years back. After becoming one of the PBB Celebrity Edition 2 Housemates, several showbiz opportunities came pouring in his way. He became part of the sing-and-dance group “Coverboys”. He also became one of the hosts of his home network’s Sunday afternoon variety show. He has also done some acting – he has appeared in a number of soap operas and movies.

As an actor, he has played a range of characters extremely different from his real personality – a superhero, a nerd, a love interest to an aging businesswoman, among others. However, for his next television project, “Pat Is Tin”, Jon will play a role somewhat similar to what he was just before he started modeling – a fat guy. Jon had a bit of a weight problem growing up and his new role as a guy on the heavy side is someone whom he could relate to the most.

“Pat Is Tin” stars Valerie Concepcion in the lead role with Jon Avila as her main man in the series. The show’s timeslot and first telecast date on ABS-CBN is yet to be announced but rumor has it that it is going to replace “Kambal Sa Uma” once the latter folds up.
