Piolo Pascual on getting adventurous
|
It is quite noticeable that Piolo Pascual has been exploring several facets of his personality lately. Apart from being an actor (incidentally, his teleserye remake of the Koreanovela “Lovers in Paris” is due out very soon), he has ventured into different personas which are necessarily involved in his being in the arts. He has recently launched his line of personally-designed apparel and self-inspired scent, through Bench’s Pure Passion collection. He has also diversified into other aspects of the acting craft by producing and starring in the independent film, “Manila” which is a fused remake of Ishmael Bernal’s “Manila by Night” and Lino Brocka’s “Jaguar”. And now he suits up once again donning producer’s garb as he produces another independent film, this time a comedy, for Ai Ai de las Alas’ sidekick in the popular “Ang Tanging Ina” movies, Eugene Domingo. The upcoming Piolo Pascual-produced indie flick is entitled “Kimmy Dora” and will star, as earlier mentioned, the extremely funny Eugene Domingo and will be directed by Joyce Bernal. In the said film, Eugene plays identical twins Kimmy and Dora whose personalities reside in the opposite ends of the spectrum. One is extremely dark and angsty while the other bubbly and full of positivity. Playing Eugene’s leading men in the movie are Dingdong Dantes and Zanjoe Marudo. “Kimmy Dora” will hit theaters this coming September. |
