Before he came to Manila, Akihiro Sato is already an established model. He has appeared in billboards and television commercials; graced pages and covers of magazines and walked the runways in Asian fashion capitals such as Singapore and Bangkok. When buzzword circulated that he was going to Manila, his arrival became much anticipated that he was signed in to projects before he even got here. Probably realizing how much welcome he is in our country, he decided to take his career to the next level – instead of just pursuing modeling, he wanted to enter showbiz.
When an offer to star in a film came his way, he immediately grabbed the opportunity. He was cast in the independent film production entitled “Handumanan” where he shared the limelight with more experienced actors Chin Chin Gutierrez and Jason Abalos.
Apparently not wanting to limit himself to modeling and acting only, Akihiro accepted GMA7’s invitation for him to join the third season of Celebrity Duets. In the show, he is up against actress/director Gina Alajar; actor/concert producer Jomari Yllana; international boxing sensation Nonito Donaire; beauty queen Janina San Miguel; perfume magnate Joel Cruz; fashion designer Maxie Cinco; salon-spa owner Mikaela Bilbao and photographer Nicolo Cosme. Watch Akihiro as he belts it out against the other celebrity contestants in Celebrity Duets which airs Saturday evenings on GMA7.

Justin Manzano is a 19-year old student taking up AB Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University and does modeling in his spare time.
He started modeling in 2006 and has since appeared in television commercials for Nestea Iced Tea, Greenwich, Smart, Coke, Jollibee, KFC, McDonald’s and has graced the pages of magazines like Candy, Meg P9 and Cosmopolitan.
In 2007, Justin transitioned from being a model to being an actor by becoming part of the cast of the Dennis Trillo-led primetime series “Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan”. That same year, he tried a bit of singing and joined a now defunct boy group which regularly performed in GMA7’s Sunday afternoon musical variety show, “SOP”.
Presently, Justin can be seen in segments for the Saturday morning show for teens, “Ka-Blog”, with Mico Aytona and Lucky Mercado. “Ka-Blog” airs Saturdays at 10am on GMA7.

After Phil Younghusband was flown in from the United Kingdom where he played as reserve for the Chelsea Football Club to the Philippines in 2005 to join our National Football squad, his career has been growing by leaps and bounds. Upon getting noticed for his athletic skills and classic good looks, he was signed in to model for popular Philippine underwear brand Hanford. Other commercial endorsements came his way soon thereafter.
Recognizing his star quality, GMA7 invited him to join the second season of Celebrity Duets where he unluckily got booted off right in the middle of the season. The football star, who was unable to control his sadness about his elimination, got emotional on national television that night and was loved by the Filipino audience even more. Following his exposure in the singing contest, several product endorsements came his way. He became an endorser of Alaska Milk, Del Monte Fit n’ Right and Kenny Rogers Roasters, among others.
Phil also got into hosting. He was one of the hosts of Nokia Inquirer Lifestyle Series held some time in July and the launch of Stella Magazine: Stellar Night held just a couple of weeks back. Phil is also one of the Cosmopolitan Magazine Bachelor Centerfolds this 2009. He joins Gerald Anderson, Aljur Abrenica, Joem Bascon, Ejay Falcon, Xian Lim, JC Tiuseco, Sid Lucero, Akihiro Sato and Daniel Matsunaga in the issue. Incidentally, you may catch Phil and the other nine bachelor centerfolds in the flesh as they grace the Cosmopolitan Bachelor Bash this coming September 10, 2009.
Phil is fast becoming a major celebrity in the Philippines, and even if he doesn’t make it big in football, showbiz has definitely left its doors open for him.

Sam Milby is one of the busiest actors this season. He has appeared in the recently concluded top-rated soap opera, “Only You” with Angel Locsin and Diether Ocampo; has starred in a critically-acclaimed film, “And I Love You So” with Bea Alonzo and Derek Ramsey; and is now shooting for Star Cinema’s upcoming comedy flick “Ang Tanging Pamilya: A Marry Go Round” with Ai Ai delas Alas, former Philippine President Joseph Estrada, Toni Gonzaga and Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao.
Sam could also be regarded as the luckiest actor in his generation having been given the opportunity to work in different genres with top-notch actors and actresses. He has definitely come a long way since being the face of a toothpaste brand right before he gained popularity via the first season of the ABS-CBN reality show “Pinoy Big Brother”.
